Sirnak

Şırnak is a city located in the Şırnak District and serves as the capital of the Şırnak Province in Turkey. Situated near the Ibrahim Khalil border crossing, it functions as one of the primary links between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The city is primarily populated by Kurds of the Şirnexî tribe and had a recorded population of 75,932 in 2023. It is historically recognized as part of Turkish Kurdistan.
