Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture located in western Xinjiang, China. It shares international borders with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The administrative capital of the prefecture is Artush.
The region covers a total area of 70,916 km2 (27,381 sq mi) and has a population of 622,222 people. While Uyghurs are the largest ethnic group in the prefecture, making up nearly two-thirds of the population, Kizilsu is also home to most Kyrgyz people living in China, who account for just over a quarter of the total inhabitants.
