Güzelyurt, which translates to "beautiful homeland," is a town located in the Aksaray Province of Turkey's Central Anatolia region. Formerly known as Gelveri, it serves as the administrative seat of the Güzelyurt District and is situated approximately 45 km (28 mi) from the city of Aksaray.
The town sits at an elevation of 1,485 m (4,872 ft). As of 2021, the population of Güzelyurt was recorded at 2,570 residents.
