Kurtalan is a municipality located within the Kurtalan District of Siirt Province in Turkey. Originally known as Garzan, the settlement was officially renamed to Kurtalan in 1938.
The area is primarily populated by Kurds belonging to the Pencenarî Kurdish tribe. As of the 2021 census, the municipality had a recorded population of 36,273 residents.
