Gölcük is a municipality and district located in the Kocaeli Province of Turkey. It occupies an area of 217 km² and had a recorded population of 175,940 as of 2022.
The district is situated on the southern shore of the Gulf of İzmit, which serves as the easternmost inlet of the Sea of Marmara.
