Kızıltepe is a municipality and district located in the Mardin Province of southeastern Turkey. It covers an area of 1,236 km² and had a recorded population of 267,151 as of 2022.
The region is situated within a broader Kurdish-majority area characterized by high concentrations of Kurmanji speakers. The district is predominantly inhabited by Kurds, specifically members of the Kîkan Kurdish tribe.
