Çiğli is a municipality and district located in the İzmir Province of Turkey. It covers an area of 139 km2 and had a population of 214,065 as of 2022. The district is situated in the northwestern part of the İzmir agglomeration, positioned around the mouth of the Gediz River across the Gulf of İzmir from the main city.
The region is home to the Gediz delta, which is recognized as an Important Bird Area, though it faces ongoing threats from urbanization. Economically, the area features the İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone (IAOIZ), a significant industrial hub, and hosts a major air force base.
