Etimesgut is a municipality and metropolitan district located in the Ankara Province of Turkey. Formerly known as Ahimesut, the district covers an area of 273 km² and has a population of approximately 614,891 as of 2022.
Situated at an elevation of 843 meters (2,766 feet), Etimesgut is positioned roughly 25 kilometers (16 miles) from the center of Ankara. The area is primarily characterized by large-scale public housing projects.
