Çatak is a municipality and district located in the Van Province of Turkey. It covers a total area of 1,952 km² and has a recorded population of 18,462 as of 2022. The inhabitants of the district are primarily Kurdish.
The local government is currently led by Mayor Abdürrahman Şeylan, who was elected in March 2019 representing the Justice and Development Party (AKP). As of August 2022, Sercan Sakarya serves as the current Kaymakam of the district.
