Nazimiye

Nazımiye is a municipality and the seat of the Nazımiye District located in the Tunceli Province of Turkey. Formerly known as Kızıl Kilise, the town had a recorded population of 1,262 residents in 2021.

The local population primarily consists of Kurds from the Arel and Lolan tribes, who predominantly practice Kurdish Alevism and speak Zazaki as their main language. Additionally, the area is home to crypto-Armenians who survived the Armenian genocide.
