Uzungoel

Turkey

Uzungöl, also known as Şeraho in the local Romeyka language, is a lake located in the Çaykara district of Trabzon Province in Turkey. Situated approximately 95 km southeast of Trabzon's city center and 19 km from the Çaykara district center, it is situated within the valley of the Haldizen Stream.

The lake was formed by a landslide that transformed the stream bed into a natural dam. It serves as the namesake for a village located on its coast. The lake, the surrounding valley, and the village have become popular tourist attractions due to their picturesque scenery.

Uzungöl is officially designated as part of the Uzungöl Nature Park, which was established on October 3, 1989.
