Zile, historically known as Zela, is a city located in the Tokat Province of north-central Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat of the Zile District and is situated to the south of Amasya and west of Tokat. As of 2022, the city has a recorded population of 33,557.

The city possesses a long history, notably serving as a former bishopric. It is also recognized as the site of the Battle of Zela, an event that inspired the famous Latin phrase "Veni, vidi, vici." In contemporary times, Zile functions as a center for tourism and agricultural marketing.
