Tokat is a city located in the mid-Black Sea region of Anatolia in Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat for both Tokat Province and Tokat District.
The city has a population of 163,405 as of 2022. Geographically, it is situated at the confluence where the Tokat River meets the Yeşilırmak river.
