Sulusaray, also known as Çiftlik, is a town located in the Tokat Province of Turkey's Black Sea region. It serves as the administrative seat of the Sulusaray District and has a recorded population of 4,383 as of 2022. The town is situated on a plain surrounded by mountains, with the Çekerek river running nearby.
Historically, the site was known in Antiquity and the early Middle Ages as Sebastopolis or Heracleopolis. Geographically, Sulusaray is positioned approximately 68 km from the center of Tokat and about 30 km from the town of Artova.
