Gölköy is a municipality and district located in the Ordu Province of Turkey. It sits at an elevation of 820 meters (2,690 feet) above sea level and covers a total area of 421 square kilometers.
The town is situated approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) inland from the city of Ordu along the road leading to Sivas. As of 2022, the district has a recorded population of 25,960 residents.
