Bodrum is a town and district located in the Muğla Province of Turkey. It serves as a port town situated at the entrance to the Gulf of Gökova.
Historically known as Halicarnassus, the area was once home to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. This structure, also referred to as the tomb of Mausolus, was recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
