Doğanşehir is a municipality and district located in the Malatya Province of Turkey. It covers a total area of 1,364 km2 and had a recorded population of 37,697 as of 2022. The current mayor of the district is Memet Bayram, who represents the CHP.
Historically, the city was known by the name Sozopetra. It serves as a local administrative center within the eastern region of the country.
