Gölcük is a municipality and district situated in the Kocaeli Province of Turkey. It covers a total area of 217 km² and had a recorded population of 175,940 as of 2022.
The district is geographically positioned on the southern shore of the Gulf of İzmit. This gulf serves as the easternmost inlet of the Sea of Marmara.
