Pendik is a municipality and district located in the Istanbul Province of Turkey. Situated on the Asian side of the city, it lies along the Marmara Sea between the districts of Kartal and Tuzla. The area covers approximately 190 km2 and had a population of 750,435 as of 2022.
The district shares borders with Sultanbeyli, Sancaktepe, and Çekmeköy to the northwest, Şile to the north, and Gebze to the northeast. One of its most notable features is that it serves as the location for the Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.
