Esenler is a municipality and district located on the European side of Istanbul Province in Turkey. It covers an area of 43 square kilometers and had a recorded population of 445,421 as of 2022. The district is currently governed by Mayor Tevfik Göksu.
The area is characterized primarily as a densely packed, working-class residential zone. It is situated among several industrial neighboring districts, including Gaziosmanpaşa, Güngören, and Bağcılar.
