Giresun is a city located in the Black Sea Region of northeastern Turkey. Situated approximately 175 km (109 mi) west of Trabzon, it serves as the administrative seat for both Giresun Province and Giresun District.
As of 2022, the city has a recorded population of 125,682. It is characterized by its geographical position within the coastal region of the northern Turkish coastline.
