Karayazı is a municipality and district located in the Erzurum Province of Turkey. It covers a total area of 1,953 km² and had a recorded population of 25,543 as of 2022.
The local government underwent significant changes in 2019 following the election of Melike Göksu as mayor. However, she was dismissed and arrested in September of that same year after receiving a sentence of seven years and six months for terrorist propaganda. Following her removal, Kaymakam Mesut Tabakçıoğlu was appointed to serve as a trustee for the district.
