Kırcasalih is a town located in the Uzunköprü District of the Edirne Province in Turkey. Situated in the eastern Trakya (Thrace) plains, it lies approximately 18 kilometres away from the district center of Uzunköprü. The settlement was originally founded in the 14th century following the early Turkish settlement in the region.
The town has a complex demographic history involving several name changes and population shifts. Originally known as Karacasalih, it was renamed Zalof in the 18th century after the government settled Greek and Christian Albanian populations there following an attempted rebellion. These newcomers were noted for their excellence in viticulture. During the compulsory population exchange between Greece and Turkey in the 1920s, the Greek residents were replaced by Turks from Greece and North Macedonia, as well as Pomaks.
