Mecitözü is a town located in the Çorum Province within the Black Sea region of Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat of the Mecitözü District and is situated approximately 37 kilometers from the city of Çorum.
As of 2022, the town has a population of 4,036 residents. The local government is currently led by Mayor Veli Aylar of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
