Burhaniye

Burhaniye is a municipality and district located in the Balıkesir Province of Turkey. Situated on the Aegean coast, it covers an area of 420 km2 and had a recorded population of 64,283 as of 2022.

The region is notably recognized for its olive oil production. The district features a port and houses several cultural sites, including a museum of archaeology and the Burhaniye Kuvay-ı Milliye Müzesi, a museum dedicated to the Turkish National Movement that was inaugurated in 2008.

For transportation, Balıkesir Koca Seyit Airport is located approximately ten minutes away by car from the district.
