Demre is a municipality and district located in the Antalya Province of Turkey. The region covers an area of approximately 329 square kilometres (127 sq mi) and had a recorded population of 27,691 as of 2022.
The town derives its name from the Demre River. It serves as a primary administrative and geographical center within its district boundaries in southern Turkey.
