Suluova

Suluova is a town located in the Amasya Province of Turkey. Situated on high ground inland within the central Black Sea region, it serves as the administrative seat of the Suluova District. The town sits at an altitude of 510 meters.

The geography of the district is divided between a plain covering two-thirds of the area and surrounding mountain forests occupying the remaining third. Due to its location, the land is dry and frequently experiences strong winds blowing over the mountains from the Black Sea, making the town notorious for dust storms.

As of 2021, Suluova has a population of 39,286. The current mayor of the town is Fatih Üçok of the AKP party.
