Göynücek is a town located in the Amasya Province of northern Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat of the Göynücek District and has a recorded population of 4,938 as of 2021.
The town is situated within the valley of the Çekerek River. The current mayor of the municipality is Kadir Fatih Erdoğan, who represents the MHP party.
