Patnos is a city located in the Ağrı Province of Turkey. It serves as the seat of the Patnos District and is situated on a plain surrounded by high mountains, including Süphan. The area is watered by tributaries of the Murat River.
The city is positioned 82 km south of the city of Ağrı along the road to Van. As of 2021, the population of Patnos was 61,837. In 2024, Abdulhalik Taşkın serves as the mayor.
