Tamezret

Tamezret, also known as Tamazrat, is a Tunisian Berber village situated in the southeastern region of Tunisia. It is located approximately ten kilometers from Matmata and forty kilometers southwest of Gabès, which serves as the capital of the governorate to which the village depends.

The settlement is characterized by its unique geography as a ridge village built across the four slopes of one of the highest hills in the Matmata mountains. The site sits at an altitude of 480 meters above sea level.
