Ariana is a coastal city located in north-eastern Tunisia. It serves as the capital of the Ariana Governorate and ranks as the eighth largest city in the country.
The city is situated approximately 2.6 kilometers north of the Tunis city center and forms part of the agglomeration known as Grand Tunis. Its geographical coordinates are approximately 36°51′45″N 10°11′44″E.
