Tozeur is a city located in southwest Tunisia. It serves as the capital of the Tozeur Governorate and is situated geographically between Chott el Djerid and the smaller Chott el Gharsa, positioned northwest of Chott el Djerid.
Historically, the location was the site of Tusuros, an ancient city and former bishopric. Today, it remains a Latin Catholic titular see.
