Norak is a city located in the Khatlon Region of Tajikistan. It is situated on the Vakhsh River at an elevation of 885 meters above sea level. The city is positioned approximately 70 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe, which serves as the nation's capital.
As of 2020, the population of Norak was estimated to be 31,400 for the city proper, while the total population including outlying communities reached approximately 61,500.
