Khorugh, also known as Khorog or Kharagh, is the capital city of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in Tajikistan. It serves as the administrative center for both the region and the Shughnon District.
The city has a population of approximately 30,500 residents. It is situated within the mountainous landscape of eastern Tajikistan.
