Bueng Kan

Bueng Kan is a town municipality located in the Mueang Bueng Kan district of Bueng Kan province in the Isan region of Thailand. It serves as the district capital and is situated along the Mekong River, positioned directly opposite the Laotian town of Pakxan in Bolikhamsai province.

The town is located at the junction of Highways 212 and 222, approximately 136 kilometres northeast of Nong Khai and 750 kilometres northeast of Bangkok. The local economy is primarily driven by tourism and agriculture, with para rubber serving as the region's principal crop.
