Surat Thani is a city located in Amphoe Mueang Surat Thani within the Surat Thani Province of southern Thailand. It is situated approximately 651 km (405 mi) south of the capital, Bangkok.
The city serves as the capital of Surat Thani Province. As of 2019, it had a population of 132,040 and covered an area of 68.97 km2 (26.63 sq mi), resulting in a population density of 1,914 inhabitants per km2.
