Phetchaburi, also known as Phet Buri, is a town located in southern Thailand. It serves as the capital of Phetchaburi Province and is situated approximately 160 km south of Bangkok at the northern end of the Thai peninsula.
The name Phetchaburi translates to "city of diamonds" in Thai. As of 2005, the town had a population of 26,181 and encompasses the two tambon areas of Tha Rap and Khlong Krachaeng.
