Kanchanaburi is a town municipality located in the Kanchanaburi Province of Thailand. It is situated approximately 120 kilometers west of Bangkok and lies to the southeast of Erawan National Park.
The town encompasses parts of several subdistricts, including Ban Nuea and Ban Tai within the Mueang Kanchanaburi District, as well as portions of Pak Phraek, Tha Makham, and Tha Lo. According to census data, the population of the municipality was 31,327 in 2006 and decreased to 25,651 by 2017.
