Kham Muang

Kham Muang, also known as Kam Mueang, refers to the language spoken by the Northern Thai people of Thailand. It is classified as a Southwestern Tai language and serves as a primary linguistic identity for the region.

The language has approximately six million speakers. While the majority of these speakers reside in Northern Thailand, there is also a smaller community of speakers located in northwestern Laos.
