Uthai Thani is a town located in the upper central region of Thailand. It serves as the capital of Uthai Thani Province and is situated approximately 200 km northwest of Bangkok.
The town encompasses the entire tambon Uthai Mai within the Mueang Uthai Thani district. Geographically, it is positioned on the right bank of the Sakae Krang River, located a few kilometers upstream from its confluence with the Chao Phraya River. As of 2008, the town had a recorded population of 16,787.
