Phitsanulok is a city municipality located in northern Thailand and serves as the capital of Phitsanulok province. It is situated in the geographic center of the province on the fertile plains along the banks of the Nan River, which flows southward to join the Chao Phraya River.
As one of the major urban centers in the northern region, the city has an urban population of approximately 200,000 and a city population of 60,827 as of 2024. It ranks as the 19th-most populous city proper in Thailand.
