Chai Prakan is a city located in the far northern region of Thailand's Chiang Mai Province. It serves as the seat of the district headquarters for Chai Prakan District. The town is situated approximately 145 kilometers from the provincial capital of Chiang Mai and roughly 850 kilometers from Bangkok.
