Dapaong is a city located in northern Togo within the Savanes Region. It serves as the prefecture seat of Tône and functions as the regional capital. Situated approximately 638 km (396 mi) north of the national capital, Lomé, the city is positioned near the border with Burkina Faso.
According to the 2010 Census, Dapaong had a population of 58,071 residents. The city is characterized as a market town and features a small museum.
