Bongor is a city located in Chad and serves as the capital of the Mayo-Kebbi Est region. It is situated on the eastern bank of the Logone River.
The city is notable for its geographical position along the river, which becomes navigable between Bongor and the national capital, N'Djamena, during the rainy season from May to September. As of 2008, the population of Bongor was recorded at 29,268.
