Nhlangano

Eswatini

Nhlangano is the fourth largest town in Eswatini and serves as the capital of the southern district of Shiselweni. Situated beside the Ngwavuma River, the town was formerly known as Goedgegun before being renamed Nhlangano, which translates to "the meeting place."

The town holds historical significance as the site where King George VI of the United Kingdom met with King Sobhuza in 1947 to express gratitude for the war effort during the Second World War. Modern infrastructure and facilities in Nhlangano include a health center, a prison, a casino, and an SOS Children's Village.
