Binnish is a city located in northwestern Syria within the Idlib Governorate. It is situated just east of the city of Idlib and is surrounded by several nearby localities, including Kafriya and Maarrat Misrin to the northwest, al-Fu'ah to the north, Ta'um and Taftanaz to the northeast, Afs to the southeast, and Sarmin to the south.
According to data from the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Binnish had a population of 52,000 as of the 2011 census. The inhabitants of the city are predominantly Sunni Muslim.
