Salamiyah is a city situated in central Syria within the Hama Governorate. Geographically, it is positioned approximately 33 kilometres southeast of Hama and 45 kilometres northeast of Homs.
The city is primarily known for its demographic composition, as its inhabitants are predominantly Ismaili.
