Nubl

Syria

Nubl is a small city located in northern Syria within the Aleppo Governorate. It is situated northwest of the city of Aleppo and is surrounded by several nearby localities, including al-Zahraa to the south, Anadan to the southeast, Tel Rifaat to the northeast, Aqiba to the north, Barad to the west, and Mayer to the east.

According to the 2004 census conducted by the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, Nubl had a population of 21,039. The city's inhabitants are predominantly Shia Muslims. Together with the nearby town of al-Zahraa, Nubl constitutes a small Shia-inhabited pocket within a predominantly Sunni Muslim region of the Aleppo Governorate.
