Dayr Hafir

Dayr Hafir is a town located in northern Syria within the Aleppo Governorate. It serves as the regional center of the Dayr Hafir District and is situated approximately 50 kilometres east of Aleppo on the Aleppo-Raqqa highway, 15 kilometres north of Sabkhat al-Jabbul.

The town is primarily a rural community that had a population of 18,948 according to the 2004 official census. It is notable for hosting an archaeological site that dates back to the 9th millennium BC.
