Akhtarin is a town located in the northern Aleppo Governorate of northwestern Syria. It serves as the largest town and administrative center of Nahiya Akhtarin within the A'zaz District.
The town had a recorded population of 5,305 during the 2004 census. Geographically, it is situated approximately 38 km (24 mi) northeast of the city of Aleppo and is positioned near several other localities, including Mare' to the southwest, Dabiq to the northwest, and Ziadiyah to the northeast.
